The Evolution of Work - Exploring Next Stage Organizations and Leadership
Modern organizations have brought about sensational progress for humanity in less than two centuries. None of the recent advances in human history would have been possible without organizations as vehicles for human collaboration.
And yet, many people sense that the current way we run organizations has been stretched to its limits. We are increasingly disillusioned by organizational life.
Perhaps you've been intrigued or inspired by workplace movements like Holacracy, Lean Management, Responsive Org, re:Work, Sociocracy or Teal (Reinventing Organizations). Or maybe you've been asking yourself questions like:
How can we create organizations free of the pathologies that show up all too often in the workplace? Free of politics, bureaucracy, and infighting; free of stress and burnout; free of resignation, resentment, and apathy; free of the posturing at the top and the drudgery at the bottom?
How can we reinvent organizations to make work more productive, fulfilling, and meaningful?
How can we create soulful workplaces - schools, hospitals, businesses, and nonprofits - where our talents can blossom and our callings can be honored?
If so, you're invited to join us on Wednesday, April 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at DigitalWire360, 6900 E Camelback Road, Suite 602, Scottsdale, AZ 85251. We’ll be continuing an ongoing dialogue that began in February with people in the greater Phoenix area who are exploring, or perhaps actively experimenting with, "next stage" organizations and how to redesign how people work together.
Our hope is to build a local community of practice dedicated to shared learning, collaboration, and accelerating the shift toward more effective ways of leading and working in the 21st century.
